Well it has been a long time since we last blogged. I hope everyone has enjoyed the holidays and is getting ready for the New Year! I know I am! I just wanted to share a few from a session back in November. This is one of my sweetest friends (not to mention, awesome hair dresser!) and her gorgeous family!!! I took her son's pictures a few years ago and he was a bit camera shy....but now....it's a whole new ball game. He is a natural in front of the lens and really knows how to work the camera...LOL. My Best Friend Became A Mom - Dallas, GA Birth, Newborn, & Family Photographer

I have been trying to write this post for awhile now and everytime I sit down to think about what I want to say, my heart starts pounding and my eyes instantly fill with tears. Not because I am sad but because I am so overwhelmed with the amount of joy that I have felt and the miracle that God has given this family. I truly witnessed a miracle at 5:03am, August 12, 2011, the moment my best friend became a mom. I had the most amazing opportunity to see with my own eyes a precious child being born. I cannot begin to describe the emotions that have led up to this event. I met Tammy in 2006. We became instant friends and both shared a love of photography. Eventually, we decided to jump in and start our photography business together. It has been an amazing journey for us. We have laughed and cried through it all. I have seen my friend grow into such an amazing wife and then start to have what some call that "baby fever". It has been what seems like a long journey but in God's timing they have been blessed with a beautiful baby boy. I was thrilled when Tammy asked if I would be part of the delivery and capture each moment. Of course I said yes and was so honored to be there! Since it was my first time witnessing a birth, I wasn't sure how I would be and trying to take pictures at the same time. Well it turned out to be the best experience of my life. My heart is filled with so much love and joy for this family and I could not be any happier. I am so thankful to have been given this opportunity to capture these precious moments.

Here is Baby Elliott's Birth Story...

As the days got closer to the due date (August 16th), I was getting anxious, nervous, excited, overwhelmed with joy, etc. I have my camera packed, batteries charged, extra cards, etc, ready to go. Now I just sit and wait on the phone call. I finally get the call at 6:18pm on Thursday, August 11th saying that Tammy's water has broke and they are on the way to the hospital. At that instant, my heart sank, my knees started shaking and I was pacing back and forth. It was GO TIME!!! By the time I arrived to the hospital, Tammy had already received her epidural and was in good spirits!

She looked amazing and I was just so happy to be there! At 11:00pm, Tammy was dilated to 6.5 cm and the nurse told us that baby has lots of hair!!! We were giggly and couldn't wait to see what color!! At 12:07am, Friday, August 12th, the nurse begins the petossin to help speed the process along as Tammy's contractions were slowing down. By 12:30am, she had one huge contraction and at 1:30am they were slowing down again. The nurse told us all in the room that we should probably try to get some rest and that they would check on her in a few hours. A FEW HOURS??? We couldn't believe it. She was doing so good and we thought baby boy would make his appearance within no time! So we turned down the lights, grabbed a spot in the floor and tried to rest our eyes best we could. I think we were all just so anxious we couldn't really fall asleep but I think we managed to get in a 30 minute power nap. At 2:03am, Tammy's contractions started getting stronger and by 3:15am she was dilated to 9cm! Woohoo!! Finally, at 4:10am, the nurse gives her the go ahead to start pushing!!! This was the time I truly experienced a miracle right before my eyes. I could see that little head full of dark hair just waiting to join us! And only 53 short minutes later, at 5:03am, Mr. Elliott Michael Miller made his debut! Weighing in at 7 lbs 12 oz and 20 inches long....he was perfect! What a moment that was when we all heard his first cry! I saw Tammy and Michael look at each other in a way that no one can describe. I'm not sure what they were thinking but I knew it was special. There were so many emotions going on in the room. It was the best experience of my life so far!

What a true blessing he is on each of our lives and he doesn't even know it yet. We had waited patiently for so long to meet this little man. He is surrounded by so many people that love him so much already. What a great day it was! A HUGE thank you also goes out to Mike, Susan, Mark, Wanda & Stephen for being there through it all! You all did great!!! :)

Congratulations to my best friends Michael & Tammy! You two are so blessed and are doing such an amazing job with your little man. He is perfect and I am so glad to be part of your lives! Love y'all so much! I hope you enjoy these moments forever! ~Carla~

Meet Kristi & Tyler. They are getting married!!!! What a happy time it is when you are engaged and just waiting on the day to marry your best friend. It's an amazing feeling to have and I'm so happy when I get to be part of the start of a couple's new life together. Kristi and Tyler met in college up in Minnesota. They have already been engaged for a year now and made a trip to Georgia to visit family. While here, Kristi's mom decided to set up an engagement session. I have had the pleasure of photographing Kristi's sister's family a few times before. This is a wonderful family to be around and some of the nicest people you will ever meet. We had a blast around town and you could definitely feel the love between the young couple. They were so much fun and just full of laughter.

This family is just awesome! I had the BEST time with all of them back in July. Half of them had traveled from Florida to visit over summer break and thought it would be good to have some family pictures made since they don't get to see each other very often. What a great idea! This family was just full of laughs and made my job so easy and fun! They really could all be models as well. Just an all around beautiful family. I'm loving all the colorful outfits. Ok folks, so it's been awhile since we have blogged! It's been one long, hot & crazy summer! Hope you all have had a wonderful summer and are now enjoying this cool weather rolling in! Thinking of all those affected by the tornadoes this past weekend. You all are in our thoughts and prayers.

Here's Emily. She is now almost 2 1/2 years old! She is growing so fast and I'm just loving her little personality and amazing red hair! She is just a sweet girl and I enjoy her everytime! I just love this little family. Everytime we get together, we just have the best time. I have known these boy's mama for about seven years now. I have been around long enough to watch her fall in love, get married, move into a new home, and start a family. Now her family is growing and so is the joy and love in this home. It's always a pleasure to be around them and they welcome everyone with open arms. On this day I headed down to her parents home where these boys get to enjoy their summer days swimming at grandma & grandpa's house. ENGAGED!!! Meet one of my very good friends, Diana, and her fiance, Kyle!!! This couple is amazing and I'm so happy to be part of their journey as they start a new life together. I met Di in 2004 as we started our new jobs together. Since then, we have been through SO much. We have laughed and we have cried, but most importantly we have shared so many great memories together and through it all we are friends to the end. Since we met, we have both taken different paths....I learned photography and Di learned to fly! FLY AN AIRPLANE that is!!! Yes, my friend can fly an airplane! (I know, you wish you were this cool). I just think it's awesome that we both followed our dreams and are doing what makes us happy! Kyle, you are just the icing on the cake that makes Diana's life that much sweeter! Meet Bentley! I am lucky enough to be good friends with his beautiful mommy, so I was able to capture his first photos at just 6 hours old! He surpised us all by arriving a few weeks early, but he weighed 8lbs & is a healthy baby boy! He is one of those sweet boys I talked about in my previous post. I can't get enough of him!

I don't know if it is because I'm expecting a sweet baby boy or what, but I can't get enough of the cute little boys I've been photographing lately. Mr. Henry is no exception. He has the most beautiful eyes and the cutest expressions. We joined up a couple of weekends ago at the Marietta Square to capture these photos. He is such a sweet baby. You may remember him from here, he was just 4 months old then and my how he has grown. I love being able to freeze these moments for parents.

Carter is ONE! You may recognize this sweet little thing over the last year. He is one of my good friend's little boy. A couple of weekends ago one of my most favorite families came to spend the weekend with me & Michael. The "B" family are very close friends of ours. Tyler & Michael were college roommates and we have all remained like family. I love spending time with them and their incredibly sweet girls. Now, Jae (age 2.5) loves to pretend to take everyone else’s photos, but she has always been a little camera shy herself. I have always had a hard time with this little girl, but I always seem to pull it off. She is very photogenic so it always seems to work out. Her little sister Colleen on the other hand, she’s been a trooper since the beginning. She isn’t camera shy at all. I first photographed her when she was just a few days old. Now she is 6 months and growing. I had been eyeing this little field near my house that had these lovely daffodils blooming in it. It was perfect timing for their visit & I knew I had to take them there. Here are a few shots I was able to capture of these beautiful babies! Oh & their super talented mama made the hair accessories & the flowers on the shirts. Gotta love a creative mama!

Little Dolls - Marietta, GA Baby Photographer

Last week I headed over to photograph these two incredibly sweet babies. You may remember these tiny little things from this post back in October. Oh have they grown. I love getting to watch babies grown and change. In this first photo they are wearing their christening gowns. The same photo was taken of their mama when she was a baby. The chair is her grandmother’s high chair. It was neat to capture this for them. In the next photos they are wearing outfits that their grandmother, Mama Kay, handmade years ago and their cousins have been photographed in these too. How special to have these handed down for generations? I love heirlooms.

Chad & Emilie, thanks so much for continuing to allow me to be a part of capturing the twins as they grow. It brings me a lot of joy to capture these memories for you.

This sweet little man is ONE!!! I have been taking Carter's pictures since he was a cute little bump just over a year ago. Carter has grown into a handsome little man and is walking all over the place now. I'm sure he is keeping mom and dad busy these days. At the beginning of our session, he was sound asleep, but quickly woke up wide-eyed with lots of smiles and giggles. That definitely made for a fun session!

Meet Holly. My cousin. She is beautiful. That's all I have to really say. I have been wanting to do some "boudoir" shots for a long time now and my cousin was the perfect model for me. Nolan is ONE! - Dallas, GA Family & Children's Photographer

So I wrapped up the year 2010 with this cute ONE year old. I have been taking his photos over the last year and it has been an honor! I cannot believe it's been a year since I first met this cutie in the hospital at just 2 days old. Nolan has grown into such sweet boy and is so full of life! He is now walking (or should I say running) all over the place. Our shoot was definitely interesting but just a joy to see this boy SO happy! Happy 1st Birthday Nolan!

So now is that time of year when I can tell my clients to find the cutest, warmest, softest hats they can find for their little one to bundle up in. For this shoot, mom already had that in mind and I was so excited when she brought this cute little owl hat. LOVE IT! Saturday morning was a bit chilly but not as bad as it has been this week in Georgia! Brrrrrr....it's been freezing!!! But I had a great time with this family again. This time last year I was taking mom's maternity pictures. This sweet little boy will be ONE at the end of January. Looking forward to the birthday shoot! On the Move - Dunwoody, GA Children's Photographer

Last Saturday I headed across town to meet up with the *S* family. It was a very chilly morning, but their little guy did not mind at all. He wanted to play outside. You can tell he keeps them on their toes. He is very active. Not in a bad way at all, just constantly on the move.  He really loved being outside despite the cold. We came in to warm up for a minute and he wanted to go right back out. He is definitely going to be an outdoor kind of guy.

I have said it before, but I just feel so blessed to have such wonderful support from my friends and family. My neighbors are no exception. The *S* family are great friends of mine and I was really excited to photograph them last weekend. We headed over to White Oak Park in Dallas hoping to still find some color. I have not done a session there in quite a while, but it was just a pretty as ever. The perfect spot for Fall family photos.

Fun With Family - Dallas, GA Family & Children's Photographer

So you might recognize this crazy bunch of folk.....my sister's family. I absolutely LOVE taking their photos because they are always fun and up for just about anything. They are a crazy in love, go with the flow type of family and I love it! We have fun at every shoot and that's what it's all about. Just being you and having fun with your family. The Boys of Fall - Dallas, GA Family & Children's Photographer

Meet this wonderful family of 5! I have to tell you that I haven't laughed so much during a family photoshoot as I did during this one. It was so much fun goofing off with all these BOYS! They kept my sister and I laughing the whole time and each of them had their own unique personalities. You could definitely tell this is a strong family with lots of love and laughter in their home. This family is very athletic and involved in a variety of sports. I knew the boys played football and what perfect time of year to have them play around and just be themselves. Mom wanted me to capture the boys as they are now and so I hope the fun pictures of them playing are just what mom wants to look back on years from now and see the laughter in these young faces.

Thank you "S" family for coming out and just being yourselves. I had a blast and I hope you did too. Enjoy a few of my favorite images of the afternoon.

Grant turns ONE - Marietta, GA Baby Photographer

I first photographed this adorable little guy when he was just a few days old. Now a year later his mommy contacted me to photograph him on his first birthday. I was really excited, because I love to see how these kids change and man has he changed a lot in a year! The day started out rainy, I kept watching the weather knowing it was supposed to clear up & luckily it did. It was a beautiful evening, but a cold front moved in with the rain & it was really cold & windy. Thank goodness Grant's grandmother had just bought him this super cute sock monkey hat!

When I woke up last Saturday morning, it was only 37 degrees outside. Luckily by our 9:30 session time it had warmed up a few degrees, but it was still really chilly. You cannot tell how cold it was in these photos. That's because the "S" family was so natural & easy going. I love when I meet a family that is relaxed & immediately make me feel at ease. I feel so blessed to have such supportive friends and family. My family members have always been my biggest fans. When Angel & Adam got married in April 2009, they didn't hesitate when it came to choosing a photographer. Angel asked me as soon as they got engaged. It was truly an honor. Then I photographed tiny Kaydin when she was just a few days old, because my cousin Megan & Aunt Kari gave her mom a gift certificate as a shower gift. I'm so incredibly blessed to have such a huge, wonderful, close, loving family. A couple of weeks ago I met up with the Alvarenga's for a big family session. I loved it! We had a lot of fun & it was nice spending an afternoon with my Aunt, Uncle & Cousins. Here are some of my favs from the session.

Christian is Walking! - Duluth, GA Children's Photographer

Christian is on the move again! Last time I photographed this little man he was just crawling all over the place and almost ready to start walking. Now, he has definitely learned how this walking thing works! It's so good to see my clients after a few months and see how much their babies have grown and what new things they are learning. I love that so much! Christian was so good for me and I'm glad I was able to capture this time of his little life so far. He will be turning 2 in January and by then he will have a new little baby brother to play with! Mommy & daddy are expecting another sweet baby boy in December.

Wow! Carla & I have been crazy busy, but we absolute love it! I love being able to work with different families and having different challenges with every session. It makes me a better photographer.

Last weekend I photographed 4 families. Sorry to combine them all into one post, but I'm a busy girl & I really want everyone to have a sneak peek. Here are 3 out of 4 of those session sneak peeks. Alvarenga Family, yours is coming, I promise. :)

First up, Meet the *H* Twins, Callahan & Mary Mead. You can't tell how tiny they are in these photos, but Cal was 5lb.6oz. & Mary Mead was 4lb.11oz. So, so tiny. They were great sleepers!

Chad & Emilie, thank you so much for inviting us into your home to photograph these precious little miracles. I feel so blessed to be able to capture their first photos for you. Here are some of my favorites.

Next up, the *L* Family. I photographed these sweet girls last Fall & was super excited when their mom scheduled another session this Fall. We had fun at the park. Here are just a couple of fun pics from the morning.

Finally, little Wyatt turned One! I photographed this sweet boy just 6 months ago and cannot believe how much he has changed. It's incredible to be able to photograph these children as they grow. Again, a few of my favorites.

Meet my wonderful friends and their cute little man, Carter, who is almost 7 months old now! I'm so happy I was able to capture him at this tender age. He is all smiles and such a happy little guy. He is sitting up pretty good (a little wabbly at times) and is still thinking about crawling around. Instead he likes to do push-ups which is so cute! I had so much fun at our shoot last Sunday! Mommy and daddy brought his Halloween costume for a few shots and he's the cutest little monkey I've ever seen and I think you'll agree! : )

I'm sure you may recognize this sweet little boy, Nolan. I have watched him grow this past year and everytime I see him he is getting more of a personality. He is 10 months now and on the move, so of course my job gets a little more interesting! Next time he will probably be running away from me! Better get my running shoes on for that one! This time we headed out to Berry College. What an amazing campus it is. I have driven through there before but to walk around and see the campus was beautiful! Absolutely gorgeous! Meet Baby Owen. Last Thursday, I got to spend the afternoon with this sweet baby boy. At just 4 weeks old, he was still all sweet and cuddly and a very sleepy baby who let me move him around how I needed to. Owen even went to the doctor that morning and was still oh soo good for me. I love me a sleepy baby! : ) Also, mom and dad pointed out that he was born on 90210 (Sept. 2, 2010). Well actually their friends pointed that out to them and thought that was just hilarious. They were glad they didn't have the name Dylan or Brandon picked out for all of you Beverly Hills fans. I had a wonderful time with this family! Just lovely clients and a sweet sweet boy!

Ten Years and Counting - Dallas, GA Family Photographer

So I wanted to take a minute (or two) to congratulate my amazing sister and brother-in-law, Kristi and Chad, on their anniversary today. Just ten short years ago they tied the knot. What an amazing ten years it has been. I remember their wedding day like it was yesterday. I made it through the entire day without a tear in my eye, until the doors opened and I glanced at Chad as he immediately looked down with tears in his eyes.....right then and there I lost it as well. I did not have a dry eye throughout the ceremony. I tried very hard to keep it together but there's no way when you see two people so happy in love, knowing they are marrying their best friend. What a beautiful thing love really is. I have seen these two grow in love so much over the years and I have to say what a blessing it is to be able to look up to them and for them to be role models of how a marriage should be through thick and thin. They have a love like none other. Strong family values and the love for Christ have made them who they are today. I admire everything about them and am so blessed to have them in my life. So to Kristi and Chad.....I LOVE YOU AND HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

The images below were taken over Labor Day Weekend at my dad's place. We had originally discussed doing a shoot where my sister would "trash her dress" but I think we both got a little nervous about that. So we ended up taking some fun photos instead. I have to say that I am amazed that any bride can still fit into her wedding gown ten years later!!! (Oh and did I mention she's had 2 kids too?!?!) Enjoy!

Boy did I get my workout with this little guy. Corey is super sweet, lets me pick him up, smiles at me, walks holding my hand, but when I pick that camera up he runs! Haha! This is my third time photographing him & he continues to be a trickster for me. :) I love that even with a trickster like this I can get shots that make me smile, or really laugh. How can you not laugh looking at this sweet, mischievous, smile filled face?

Three Cute Kiddos - Marietta, GA Children's Photographer

On Saturday I met up with the “G” family at their Papa’s house in Marietta. They live in Alabama & came for a visit so we scheduled a session while they were in town. I’ve worked for their Papa for eight years, and I’ve seen them grow from babies. It’s exciting to finally have a chance to photograph them. They are all so cute & sweet, I mean look at their faces. Just darling! They were a tad shy at first but by the end Will was taking pictures while Lily modeled for him. It was really funny.

Meet Kenzie. This little princess made her appearance into this world on July 27th @ 2:11pm, weighing in at 7 lbs 3 oz and 21 inches. Mommy and daddy waited until she was born to find out if they were having a little girl or boy. They did the same with their first born, Kalee. What a blessing it is to have 2 girls. I know from experience the love and bond these two sisters will have. There is nothing like it. I had so much fun spending time with this sweet angel during her first week and half of life. She was definitely a princess during her shoot and did whatever she wanted and we had to wait and be patient with her.

Lee & Kelly- Thanks again for letting me spend so much time with you and your family. You two are truly blessed with your two wonderful daughters! Congratulations!

We headed up to Kennesaw Mtn and then took a nice stroll through the Marietta Square. This is one amazing couple and we had so much fun with them. Welcome to the World!!! Let me introduce you to my sweet baby cousin, Wyatt. I had the amazing opportunity to photograph this sweet, handsome, little boy a few weeks ago at almost 3 weeks old. He arrived on June 16th at 2:16 a.m., weighing in at 8 lbs and 20 1/2 inches long. He is the second born and has an older sister, Lexie, who just adores him and is such a big help for mommy. I had so much fun with him and he did great for his first photoshoot.

Nolan is now 6 months old. He is growing like a weed and getting the best personality. He is just so sweet and I fall in love with him all over again every time I get to see him. I had the pleasure of meeting up with this expecting mama a few weeks ago. This will be baby #2. They are waiting to find out the gender just like they did with the first one. They love surprises and this could possibly be the biggest surprise in anyone's life. They have a little girl that is one already and she is just adorable. I'm not sure if I could wait that long to find out what I'm having but I think towards the end of the pregnancy it would be so much fun to try and guess what I'm having. I had a blast with this couple as always and it's always a pleasure with them because they are just nice people all the way around. I CANNOT wait to hear the news on baby #2!

Well last Tuesday night I got to photograph this cutie pie at 4 months old. I am amazed at how much little Carter has grown since his newborn session and how fast time goes by. I feel like I just did his mommy's maternity pictures. Poor little Carter wasn't feeling his best this day but we still had a good time and managed to get a few giggles out of him. Despite the hot/humid weather and the ticks I found on me, it was a great time! I am so in love with Carter's big baby blues. OMG! I could eat him up! He's going to be such a little heartbreaker I can already tell.

Wow! What an amazing time Tammy and I had when we photographed 2 sets of twins in one weekend! The first set you saw in our previous post with the 3 yr old sisters. They were so much fun and full of life and then we had these newborn brothers. I can't even describe the feeling of being able to capture these sweet babies during their first few weeks of life. When we first arrived to their house, we went to their nursery and saw them sleeping in their beds. Tammy and I both looked at each other and immediately started to tear up. They were just so sweet and tiny laying there sleeping so peaceful. They were perfect! We had such an amazing time with this family and these sweet faces. We hope you enjoy the pictures.

What a beautiful family I got to photograph recently. They were just wonderful and so fun! Little Bella and Jackson were just sweethearts! I could have taken their pictures all day. Just 6 months ago I was introduced to this little beauty, Ava. She is now turning ONE this Saturday! I'm so amazed at how much she has grown and what a cute little personality is beginning to develop. She is ALMOST walking! She did manage to stand up pretty much by herself while hanging on to a blade of grass and I was able to capture it! She is so sweet and her mommy and daddy are so much in love with her. I'm so grateful to be able to capture her during her first year.

I'm sure you recognize this family. They are one of my closest families I get to photograph. Kendall just turned 4 and sweet baby Ellie is now almost 11 months! I can't believe how fast little ones grow. It seems like yesterday I was visiting all of them in the hospital when Ellie was born last June. But I have had so much fun capturing this family over the last few years. It's always a pleasure to hang out with them and just have some fun!

Fun times with friends. First crush. Chemistry class. Learning to drive. Sports. Studying. Eating cafeteria food. PROM. Latin class. Going to football games. Meeting new friends. Senior skip day. Snow days! Hanging out at the mall. Homecoming dances. College applications. Graduation day. Saying goodbye to friends. And looking forward to new beginnings in college. All of these pretty much sum up my memories of high school.

I can't believe how long it's been since I graduated! So much has changed in my life over the years and after meeting this beautiful Senior, Kayln, brought back so many of those wonderful memories.

I was extremely honored to have the opportunity to be part of Kayln's senior year! Isn't she just GORGEOUS?!?! I met up with her about a week ago and she was so much fun! Kayln is naturally beautiful and so full of life! We had a blast walking around town finding fun spots for pics and lots of outfit changes! She was a natural in front of the camera so it made my job very easy and a lot of fun!

Kayln- enjoy these last few months of your high school days! They will go by SO fast and before you know it you will be graduating college. Carter is FINALLY here! After much anticipation, excitement & planning, my dear friend Ashley welcomed her first baby into this world a few short weeks ago. Baby Carter was born on March 27th, weighing in at 7lbs 8oz and 21". I am so happy to have had the opportunity to capture these sweet moments during his first week of life. I have known Ashley for awhile now and I have seen her grow into such a beautiful role as wife and now mother. She is incredible and I am so excited to see what the future holds for this family. They have been blessed with this sweet bundle of joy that will forever change their lives.

You may recognize this beautiful couple that we photographed in August for their engagement session. Time sure does have a way of flying by. Chris and Sarah were married on March 13th at the wonderful Callanwolde Fine Arts Center in Atlanta. The place was beautiful inside and out just like Chris and Sarah. They are such amazing people to be around and you can always tell how much in love two people are by the way they look at each other and their body language. It's so nice to photograph "true love".

Of course you can never rely on the weatherman here in Georgia. The day called for sunny skies but of course the rain managed to stop by for a little bit which was okay because isn't it good luck for it to rain on your wedding day? But thank goodness it didn't stay for long. It ended up being a beautiful day to get married! After the ceremony the sunshine was peeking though the clouds just enough for some amazing shots of Chris and Sarah. The reception was held at the delicious Maggiano's in Buckhead where everyone definitely had an amazing time dancing the night away. I don't think anyone wanted it to end.

Rain, Rain Go away, Don't mess up my Wedding Day!

March 11th was a very special day for this couple. Not only was it their wedding day, but it would have been Tracey’s grandparent’s 66th Wedding Anniversary. Her grandparents passed away about two years ago, but they left Tracey with such special memories that she wanted to share this wedding date with them.

As you may know, Georgia has experienced a ton of rain over the last several months and more rain was predicted for March 11th. The morning started out very gloomy & misty. The couple had until 2:00 p.m. to make a decision. Do we get married inside or outside? Tracey really wanted it outside. Well, after watching the weather channel all morning, Carla & I, along with her bridesmaids said, “Just do it! Tell them you want it outside.” And that she did. As their 6:15 wedding approached, the clouds began to part a little & the sun even peaked out a bit. All of us (but especially Tracey) said her grandparents were looking down & helped keep the rain at bay. It was a very touching sentiment.

The wedding was beautiful and I’m sure it was everything Tracey & Brian hoped it would be. This couple is very much in love and you can really tell how much they care about each other. We had a great time hanging out with them all day.

I'm in LOVE with this little man! I've had the opportunity to photograph sweet Christian a few times now and each time gets better and better. He's just so handsome and I could squeeze his little cheeks all day! Sunday was a BEAUTIFUL day to hang out at a nearby square where they live and just walk around finding fun places to take some photos. It was SO much fun! This little guy is learning to walk but he definitely is one of the fastest crawlers I have witnessed! I think there should be a Baby Crawling Olympics! He would win hands down (literally)! : )

Kalee turns one

Kalee is ONE! What a special age it is to be One because there are so many "first" moments. Tammy and I headed over to Midway Presbyterian Church to photograph this brown eyed beauty! She was all smiles and giggles this day and just so full of life like a one year old should be! It was a great day and we had so much fun! And of course, what's so fun about being one? You get a special treat from your photographers at the end of your session! (parental permission is always granted before doing so of course) I love seeing little ones get messy with cupcakes or cookies bigger than their face! It's such a joy and one of life's sweetest moments! (Literally)

I had the opportunity to photograph Morgan's Sweet 16 birthday party Saturday night. This was a first for me but SO much fun! I wish I had a party like this when I turned 16. It was great! Great food, great friends and just an all around great time. The place was decorated beautifully! I know a lot of hard work was put into making this day so special for her. Lots of love from this wonderful family! (Ok, so I might be related to them, but they truly are wonderful!)

Roxy is ONE! I can't believe how fast she is growing up! I have had the pleasure of photographing this precious little girl since she was only 3 months old. I have had so much fun watching her grow and each time I see her she has got even more of a cute personality. I love all her facial expressions! She's just so darn cute! WOW! What a wonderful weekend for a few photo sessions! I was SO happy that we finally got some warmer weather here in GA! Snow last weekend and sunny skies this??? Meet baby Presley and her older siblings, Jett & Finley. I have known this family for a few years now and they are such a beautiful family. I got to hang out with the kiddos one Wednesday morning and just have some fun. We had a blast playing outside in the bright sunshine, laughing, jumping, racing, rolling in the grass and trying to see some fish in the pond (well all of us except little Presley). She was inside where it was nice and cozy trying to catch some Z's before her very first photoshoot. Well she did amazing! She let us play dress-up and dress-down, she slept when we needed her too and woke up when she wanted too! : ) She is precious and so sweet and cuddly!

...CARTER! He is finally here! After much anticipation, this little guy made it into the world on January 26th weighing in at 8 lbs 8 oz. At just 5 days old he had his very first photoshoot and boy was he the best model. He was a sleepy little thing which made my job (and mom's) quite easy. : ) This is mom and dad's first baby and they were naturals. You could really tell how proud they were of their little man. It seems like yesterday when I found out they were expecting. Wow, how times flies by. It's definitely times like these when I absolutely LOVE my job of capturing newborns and all their tiny little features because time will go by so fast and they will never be this tiny again.

What's better than starting off 2010 with a BEAUTIFUL winter wedding and a BEAUTIFUL couple? Nothing. What a great start this year has been. On January 2nd, Chris and Lindsey said "I DO" at the phenomenal St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church in Roswell. It was a bone chilling day but the weather did not keep this couple from saying their vows and having all their family and friends with them to share in this special time. It was an absolutely beautiful wedding with such a stunning bride and handsome groom.

The day started with the girls getting pampered at the wonderful Three-13 Salon, Spa & Boutique while the guys went for a game or two of bowling to kill some time at US Play. What a fun morning! Then we loaded up and headed to the church. The ceremony was absolutely beautiful and everyone looked so amazing! The reception was held at the lovely Founders Hall in Roswell. Here we had so much fun and I think everyone else did too as you will see in the pictures below! :) It was such a fun night that I don't think anyone wanted to leave. Everyone was enjoying themselves and just dancing the night away.

Chris & Lindsey- Congratulations again on your BIG DAY! What a wonderful way to start the new year with your best friend. We are so happy for you two and wish you the best and a lifetime of happiness together. Thank you for including us on your special day. We hope you enjoy your pictures. We had a blast!

Waiting for Baby

This past Sunday was a beautiful day for a maternity shoot but it was soooo COLD! I had the pleasure of meeting one of my sweet friend's brother and sister-in-law, Nick and Jessica. They were so nice and willing to do just about anything I asked. Did I mention how cold it was? You might not can tell in the pics but it was freezing! But they both were troopers through it all. I know they will treasure these moments for years to come. Jessica is expecting a baby boy and he will be the first grandchild. What a special time this is. He is due in January so Jessica is pretty far along and looks amazing! I know they will make great parents and I cannot wait to meet this little man.

Brown Eyed Beauty

I spent an afternoon with this sweet family and their precious baby girl, Kalee, a few weeks ago. They were referred to me by my wonderful friend, Erin. I actually helped coach softball this year against the dad (sadly, his team won both games against us) :( But it was good to see him off the field in a non-competitive environment : ) We headed out to downtown Dallas and had fun with all the old buildings the city has to offer. It's an amazing place to shoot and I have fun with it every time I go. I was loving Kalee's red Santa outfit. So soft and snuggly! It was perfect! And her BIG brown eyes. LOVE them! I could get lost in them very easily. Just a gorgeous child!

Party of Four

A few Sundays ago I got to spend the morning with this beautiful family. I have known them for a few years now after meeting them through my husband. They are a wonderful family to be around and they will always keep you laughing no matter what. It's always a joy to have them in your presence. They are just good people and I am blessed to have them in my life. Their two sons are so funny and full of life and they were so much fun to photograph. We headed across the street to their neighbors backyard. Yes, all these pics were taken in a backyard! It was BEAUTIFUL! It was like a rock living room with a fireplace but outside! It was nice. Sweet Ava

Last Monday morning I got to hang out with this 6 month beauty, Miss Ava. We spent the first part of the morning inside by the beautifully decorated Christmas tree and nice cozy fire. Ahhh, I LOVE this time of year! Everyone is so nice and in the spirit and not a care in the world....especially little Ava. She was just so cuddly and sweet and was just going with the flow. I could have taken pics of her all day long but mommy and daddy had to go to work and Ava was ready for a nap by the time we were done.

The Christmas Cookie Thief

Do you ever wonder if Santa Claus really eats ALL those cookies from every little boy and girl's house that he goes to visit on Christmas Eve? Well I think he may have a little help this year. Meet Hutch. He's the Christmas Cookie Thief. As Hutch waits patiently for Santa to deliver his toys he decides to "try" one of Santa's cookies he left out for him. Well as you all know, Santa knows EVERYTHING and he's WATCHING you! As Santa taps Hutch on the shoulder he knows he's been caught. So to all the little boys and girls, Santa is watching you and knows if you've been bad or good and EVEN if you eat one of his cookies!

Meet the "B" Family

On Friday I had the opportunity to photograph this beautiful family. They were so sweet & laid back (my kind of people). It was windy, but we managed & had a great time. 4 year old Canaan was full of energy & kept me moving so I stayed warm. He was so funny. I get so cracked up at the faces I get out of kids sometimes. He was cheesing it up big time. Dad had to act like a monkey a few times to make him laugh so we could get a real smile. Mom just laughed & said well I guess it will capture him like he really is at this age. It's great, that's why I love my job so much. They can look back on these photos for years & it will make them laugh thinking about the silly smiles that Canaan gave me. Don't get me wrong, I got some great smiles, but some were just too funny! Last Tuesday I met up with this beautiful family. I have known them for a long time and am best friends with the mom's sister. We had fun in downtown Dallas and these boys were such good models. Last Saturday evening I had the opportunity to photograph a post wedding celebration. You see, the lovely couple had a gorgeous tropical wedding in Hawaii back in October, but they still wanted to celebrate their big day with family & friends here at home. Being a lover of all things handmade, I was in total awe of all the unique handmade items that were used at the event. No details were left out. The Bride & Groom put their heart & soul into making this a special event. They also wanted this to be a "Green" event, so you will notice lots of eco-friendly details as well. Meet the "E" Family

Last Saturday I finally got to photograph these beautiful people. We have had to schedule and reschedule due to all the crazy rain Georgia has been getting lately. You may recognize two of them from an earlier shoot back in August, 9 month old Addison and her mommy, well she was 9 months but she will be turning ONE on Thanksgiving Day! What really made my day on Saturday is the 2 little girls came dressed in UGA cheerleader outfits! I fell in love instantly! These are definitely the kind of people I need to be hanging out with on Game Day! But I am saddened by the passing of Uga VII earlier this week. So it's only fitting (and I'm sure the "E" family agrees) to dedicate this post to him. We will miss you!

Brotherly Love

You know the kind of friend that you can go forever without talking to & you can just pick up where you left off next time you see each other? Well Milli is that kind of friend. I was so excited when she contacted me about photographing her boys. We used to work together, but haven't seen each other regularly for a couple of years. I can quite honestly say that this was the most fun I have ever had at a photo shoot. These boys were so much fun! They had me laughing all afternoon. It really helped that mommy told them ahead of time & again when they got out of the car that this was going to be a fun, silly photo shoot. Not boring like where she usually takes them for pictures. Well, they took it literally and we had FUN! I think you can tell from these photos just how much fun we had. You can't fake those smiles.

This past weekend, I got to spend my Saturday morning photographing this sweet little guy. He just arrived into this world on November 4th. Most of the time first time moms are really nervous and I admit it is a little intimidating, but not Melissa she was great! She made me feel so comfortable around her baby. I think it helped that her mom was there too & both of them were so personable. This little one just wanted to be held (grandma is spoiling him already!), so we had to be patient. He didn’t like it very much when we tried to lay him down to take his pictures. Mommy made the comment that he must take after daddy because he doesn’t like to get his picture taken either. =0) It was okay though, I was still able to get some really sweet photos of him. Matt & Melissa, thank you so much for allowing me to capture your precious baby boy’s first photos. I really enjoyed spending the morning with you. Little Roxy is growing up fast! I have had the honor of photographing this sweet little girl since she was 3 months old. It's amazing how much little ones change every three months. Roxy is starting to get more teeth every time I see her. It's the little things that I love to see but I know they are big things to her mommy and daddy that are special moments in their life. I met up with them at Heritage Park down in McDonough. It was a fun little park to go to....there were so many families out having picnics, children on the playgrounds, and there were some softball games going on. It was a beautiful day last Sunday to get out and enjoy taking some photos. Lauren & Edward - thanks again for allowing me to photograph your sweet little angel. She will be having her 1st birthday before we know it! Enjoy!

Halloween Princess

Introducing Arianna!

This little angel is what I like to call a "Halloween Princess". She said hello to the world on Halloween Day. She was not supposed to arrive until Thanksgiving but I guess she didn't want to miss out on Halloween. What a fun birthday to have! Everyone in the world gets dressed up for her birthday! I'm sure it will be a lot of fun when she gets older too. Just look at all this hair! I love it! She is just a doll. Angela & Anthony - Congratulations again on your sweet baby girl. Arianna is beautiful. Thanks for allowing me to spend Saturday morning with you! I know you two will be wonderful parents as I could see how much you adore her already! Enjoy!

I just love photographing my friends little bundles of joy! I am so happy I am able to do what I love and capture these precious moments for them. They grow up so fast and every time I get to photograph them they just have more and more of a personality. I have been friends with this little beauty's mama since FOREVER and I have been so blessed to have her in my life. Emily is now 7 months old and I got to spend last Sunday evening with her. I'm LOVING this red hair and BIG blue eyes! Just gorgeous! April & Robbie- Em is such a sweet little angel (of course you already know that). I absolutely love her! Thanks for a fun evening! Enjoy!
